The Welcome Swallow gained its name as its appearance heralds the start of Spring. Favourable early season conditions delivering strong canopy growth lead into settled weather for an even fruit set. The hot dry summer that followed set up an early harvest and provided wonderful fruit quality.
Often seen darting around the southern lakes and rivers, the Welcome Swallow is known for its penchant to twitter and catch a sip on the fly. Inspired by this swift and graceful bird, Fast Flying Wines Limited, a family owned Central Otago winery, is proud to introduce this Pinot Noir.
Food Pairing: With or without food, this lively and elegant pinot noir is perfect for enjoying with a flock or when flying solo. Ideal with an antipasto platter, barbeque or light style Italian dishes.
