SureFire M611V Scout Light Weaponlight

The M611V generates a versatile 350-lumen white light tactical beam that's capable of overwhelming an aggressor's dark-adapted vision, while its 120-milliwatt IR beam is invisible to the naked eye but ideal for stealth operations involving NVGs. Switching between the two light spectra is intuitive and easy, even on the fly. The rugged M611V attaches quickly and securely to any MIL-STD-1913 rail via its integral low-profile RM45 mount, which positions the light in the offset position between the forend, decreasing overall weapon profile and limiting potential snag factor. To activate, click its push-button tailcap switch or, for fingertip control without altering your grip, press its pressure-activated tape switch (both are included). Like all SureFire products, the M611V is built to win the fight.

  • High-output white-light and infrared LED in one sealed unit
  • Low-profile RM45 mount secures the light in an offset position, decreasing overall weapon profile
  • UE07 remote switch assembly included for greater switching versatility

Interesting book, dull period
Format: Paperback
As a Marxist historian, Hobsbawm sees the world at this time, as well as the modern world, as a playground for the forces of capitalism. He apologizes for taking a eurocentric approach to world history, while acknowledging that Europe largely determined the course of world events during this period. In spite of the title, there actually isn't much discussion of colonial empires; Hobsbawm seems more interested in how the Age of Empire affected the rulers more than the ruled. His Marxist sympathies are in evidence and at times make his conclusions a bit predictable, but some of his cultural critiques are quite brilliant. The chapter on the dilemmas posed by modern science is exceptional. Reading a book like this seems to me much more interesting than actually living in this period would have been.
