The Guinea pig CASP14 (Caspase 14) ELISA immunoassay kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Guinea pig CASP14. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Guinea pig CASP14 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Guinea pig CASP14, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Guinea pig CASP14. You can calculate the concentration of Guinea pig CASP14 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Inspiring story and gorgeous illustrations

Such an inspiring story about life, love, courage and all of the people that work so hard to train and care for service dogs. The deep bond between a service dog and their owner is such a beautiful thing to see. I love seeing people living their best life with their service dogs out in public and when I read this book I felt it was the perfect way to spread awareness and hope especially to young kids. I highly recommend this book and I hope Canine Companions comes out with more in the future either following Andy’s life or maybe from a childs perspective who’s parents adopt a canine companions dog and how her/his life improves as a result.
