Certified by PCGS to AU 58, Population Census: This coin, none higher. Considerable underlying luster, especially lustrous in the peripheral legend areas (difficult to capture in the scan). DP Pi04: "This coin is the second scarcest of the 1828 1841 period. This date normally comes Fine to Very Fine. Extremely Fine examples appear occasionally, but they are scarce. Anything better is rare.

Only about 1.75 inches thick, and hard as a rock.

This is nowhere near the 2.7 inches advertised. After waiting 4 days for it to expand, it never got higher than 1.75 inches from bottom to the highest point. Also, I'm not sure what kind of Talalay they claim to use; this was hard as a rock.
