Not only is he annoyed that his sister Tori's cough kept him awake, but he also brags to all of his friends about his successes. Tomas Turtle starts his day thinking more about himself than others. Not only is he annoyed that his sister Tori's cough kept him awake, but he also brags to all of his friends about his successes. It's not until he gets sick and his friends take care of him that Tomas learns to look up to God and out to others.

Edited by counselor Alasdair Groves, Tomas Looks Up and Out offers concrete, grace-based help for growing in empathy and is part of the Good News for Little Hearts series, which brings gospel wisdom and biblical counsel to families. Based on CCEF's model of hope and help, each story focuses on an animal family's real-life issues, encouraging young readers toward a growing relationship with Jesus during challenging circumstances.

- A special section at the end of the book guides parents in having meaningful conversations with their kids about empathy and considering others, based on biblical truth.
- Children ages four to seven will be captivated by Joe Hox's colorful, fun illustrations that bring the animal world to life.
- Teaches children and parents how to apply God's Word to the everyday problem of not considering others.

______________

"We all (children and adults!) need reminders to look beyond ourselves and our own interests and to remember the joy of truly seeing and considering others. Groves has written a refreshing and relatable story that helps children see the beauty of Christ's heart of outward love and encourages them to grow to be more like him. What a gift that the precious young ones in our lives can be shepherded in this way." Esther Liu, Faculty and counselor, Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF)

Good Fit but too long
Size: Medium, Color: Army Green
I would give these shirts a 5 star rating if they weren’t so long over the waist, even a medium sized it doesn’t matter way too long

A T-shirt chic? YES!!
Size: X-Large, Color: Wine Red
This is the second one of these shirts I’ve ordered. I don’t wear ties anymore, so I actually wear this mock turtle neck under a blazer, or a sports coat as my father used to call them. I wore a blue one the other evening and I wore it underneath a plaid blazer. Whoever would guess a T-shirt could be quite so chic. It stretches plenty, it’s light and it’s so comfortable. I have two of them now and I’m deciding on a third one.
