Per vakje kun je 0,24 liter voer toevoegen, en omdat de schaal van kunststof is, mag dit zowel natvoer als droogvoer zijn. De voerschaal is vaatwasserbestendig voor gemakkelijke reiniging. De TX4+1 werkt op batterijen (4 AA mignon batterijen, niet meegeleverd), dus hoef je niet bang te zijn dat de automaat bij bijvoorbeeld stroomuitval niet meer werkt.
